Really, all you needed to tell me was that Hulk punches a jet in that clip.

I'm a very easy man to please.

Inducting 'Children of Men' into the Besties got me thinking:

What is your favorite, final scene in a movie?

I think a lot of films seem to struggle with their final shot, which make the great ones tend to stand out all the more. My favorites of recent memory are Michael Clayton, The Lives of Others, John Carpenter's The Thing, and Inception.

I recently made a list, "Actors Who Make a Bad Movie Less Badder", and it made me think to pass the question on-

Name some actors who can lift up a bad movie, just by their mere presence in that bad movie?

Screencast » Podcast Questions - 5/23/11

I recently watched both 'Good Bye Solo' and 'Lymelife,' and found them to be pretty awesome bittersweet dramedies with really down endings.

What's your favorite "down" film ending?

Sweeney Todd

One star each for the singing talents of Johnny Depp, Sasha Baron Cohen, and Alan Rickman.

Screencast » Questions - March 28th

I gotta touch on two things:

1. When someone asks a question about good young actors, you guys always say Jiggle and Tom Hardy. Never a mention of Ryan Gosling, someone who I feel is fated to win an Oscar eventually. Dude's got chops.

2. When someone needs a narrator, I'm pretty sure the default answer is "Ron Perlman" (although I creamed myself when Alex said Liam Neeson).

General Discussion » Today's Screening Room: Invasion of the Body Snatchers!

The only thing I've got, and it's more an observation than a question, is Brooke Adams. Great totally random "gratuitous full frontal nudity" scene or greatest totally random "gratuitous full frontal nudity" scene?

Also, I've seen a lot of "Body Snatcher" movies, and this one is fucked up.

The Girl Who Played with Fire » So that ending.

Rorie, I had heard your warnings about the ending prior to watching it last night, but I gotta say, Holy Fucking SHIT!

TERRIBLE! This movie leaped to head of the pack of "Movies Who's Endings Ruin the Entire Film" for me. It was a decent sequel, up until that bone headed move.

I was wondering if you guys have messed around with the VUDU video streaming service at all? If so, thoughts?

I recently watched Scott Pilgrim and thought it was pretty freakin' incredible. $5.99 for new releases, 1080p, 5.1, the video starts up within seconds and with nary a hitch. Also, Scott Pilgrim, GREAT movie!

The Walking Dead » Walking Dead Premiere: What did we think?

" Great, the part when he enters the tank was dumb though (when he faked shooting himself) and I wish they didnt reveal that rick`s wife cheated on him yet but other then that a great premier "
I saw it as he was actually going to shoot himself and saw the opening at the last minute. They didn't say anything about Rick's wife cheating, but thanks for the spoilers. "
Did the part with his partner making out with his wife not tip you off? "
Not to pour gas on a nonexistent fire, but I think it's safe to say that, in her situation, Lori has probably assumed (as any rational human being would) that Rick is Zombie Chow. So calling it "cheating" is a little extreme.

The Walking Dead » Walking Dead Premiere: What did we think?

@wasteguru:  From the interviews I've read and heard, they plan to use the comic as a foundation, but they're trying to give themselves enough wiggle room to explore new subplots, if things take them in that direction. I believe Darabont said that they want to wander away from the main line that the comic has drawn from time to time, but not so far away that they can't get back to that main line.

The Walking Dead » Walking Dead Premiere: What did we think?

A1 killer opening scene!

Haven't read the comics, but found it very entertaining (and surprisingly gory for a basic cable show). Great closing scene in Atlanta too.

I think I got hyped.

Screencast » Question Thread: 11/2

Do you think, in the distant future, long after George Lucas has become one with The Force, that some Hollywood goobers will get together and try to remake the original 'Star Wars'?

I say, "yes" (even though I don't want it), but I have a lot of friends that say, "never".

I'm curious if that was filmed on a set or a location? If that's a set (which it looks like), then this is some epic stuff. The camera movement is mindblowing.

General Discussion » Does the Dark Knight get worse the more you watch it?

My problems with TDK are the same problems I had with it the very first time I watched it. Great plot, great performances, great overall tone and momentum, but a little too long and the last half hour (with wedging Two Face in there for no real reason) was kind of a clusterfuck. If TDK had a really tight ending, and didn't stumble around trying to find itself again, it WOULD have been one of the greatest films ever made. Still very, very good, but it does have its faults.
