I really dug House. I had a bit of an off-and-on viewing relationship with it - I started watching at season two, stopped after season 4, and then picked it back up again for this last one. Even though it got pretty formulaic, the high moments were ridiculously good. House's Head/Wilson's Heart, god damn.

There's a new update to that article in which he clarifies that he's not done with action movies, he's just done doing all the crazy stunts. So, uh, yeah.

I haven't watched a lot of Up All Night, but I kind of dig it. It seems like it's got heart.

Darn. I really enjoyed Alcatraz.

There was only one part in this whole damn movie that I thought was actually cool, and that the recitation of the Oath at the climax (and I could easily see someone thinking that was really cheesy). The rest of it...well, yeah, I agree with what you wrote. Also, when I read this joke on the-editing-room I laughed my ass off, but seriously, the ring "finds" a suitable candidate like ten ...

Best - Casino Royale"Who is this?" "The name's Bond, James Bond." My favourite delivery of the line in the entire franchise and the best way to cap off that movie.Worst...well, I can't really think of one that stands out above the rest. I can think of a few movies with really dumb endings, though, like Skyline and Repo Men.

I will never forget the moment where Blofeld pops out of the darkness of the backseat of a car into the light, and he's dressed as a woman. My brothers and I fucking exploded with laughter. We were doing that a lot during this movie. But yeah, dumb movie all around. I wish Sean Connery bowed out on a higher note.

You're a top man, Rorie. Top. Man.

Katniss mentions more than once that Rue and Thresh are "dark skinned", this is really dumb and those people writing that should...uh...have a stern talking to, or something. It's post-apocalyptic, it's not like she's gonna spell it out and say "[character] was African-American", or something. Ugh. Dumb.As for Lenny Kravitz, I can't remember any of what Cinna's features were supposed to be. He was supposed to be young. That's all ...

Well, I dug the books, and rottentomatoes has this sitting pretty high, and Jennifer Lawrence is cool, and the series has some good moral messages so I'd say it's worthy. I look forward to seeing it.

@Atary77: Well, to be fair, a lot of the "angst" I've noticed stems from the fact that the main character got put into a competition where people were impaling each other with spears, so it's probably not right to label it so (at least beyond the romantic stuff). I don't know much about PTSD but I've read that the books strongly imply that's what Katniss suffers from.

I like to just go outside and read. Last summer during a road trip we stopped to camp for a few days, right next to a lake. It was ridiculously hot (interior BC yay), but it was just windy enough to be pleasant, keeping any mosquitoes away. I think I stayed on that beach almost the entire time we camped, lounging around barefoot and reading The Three Musketeers. I also ...

I've read the first two, working on the third now. I dug the first one a lot, thought the second was pretty good. Third one's alright so far, definitely a lot different than the other ones. There are some pretty good "holy shit, what?" moments littered throughout the books, something I wasn't expecting out a YA series. If you don't dig weird romance/love triangles/teenage angst, though, you might wanna stay ...

I read the first book in one day. I thought it was pretty cool. I didn't like the second as much, but I enjoyed it nonetheless, just working on the third one now. I'm actually kinda excited to see this, considering the positive reception it's getting and I think Jennifer Lawrence is great. Being excited for this is something I never, ever thought I would be.Also, if anything's got to ...

I read the comics for a while, past her introduction, and yeah, she's a bit over-the-top. But so many people act ridiculous and say so many ridiculous things in the show, and after the finale, where Daryl is riding around on a motorcycle head-shotting zombies with one hand, I welcome more ridiculousness. At least it'll reduce time spent on the more annoying characters.

@Daniel_Newton said:@Rhaknar said:what was that short lived Spiderman show from a few years ago, a lot darker and styliezed than usual, i remember loving that.I'd love to know more about that, a darker, more stylized Spider-Man show sounds interesting. Are you guys thinking of that funky CGI Spider-Man show that seemed to be based off of the movie's continuity? It was only a season long but it was pretty interesting. It ...

I don't have a problem with people smoking so long as they're not obnoxious about it (and I really hate when people are obnoxiously anti-smoking), but it does make me a little sad because if they're someone I care about, it's like, your spending a bunch of money on something that's likely to make your life a lot shorter/painful. They also tend to reek, ugly teeth, etc. I was in ...

@not_a_bumblebee said:Anyone remember that cartoon where they bring Sherlock Holmes into the future and Watson is played by a cyborg? I liked that cartoon plus it was considered educational for some reason.Holy shit, yes. That show was weird. The Hound of The Baskerville took place on the moon, if I recall.

Lizard might be a little too goofy for me, but I thought that Garfield did a pretty good Peter Parker in there. Action looks pretty fun and Emma Stone is always a good thing. Sold me on the movie a lot better than that first trailer did.
