BOX OFFICE: Animated Afros and Space Aliens Win Again By A Landslide.
Finally got a chance to see Prometheus, and it was a very interesting movie. Had to sit down and go through the Alien series again to see if it answered any questions. Which it did answer some...but it also left me with even more questions. Hope they make another, as the first evolution of the Zenomorph/alien thing looked very interesting. I'd like to see how the evolved into the ones ...

I enjoyed the first two, and then it dropped off after that, but they are loads of fun if you let my mind take a vacation. I put the Resident Evil series in the same category with Doom and the Underworld series, just plain mindless fun. Although, I hope this movie isn't only in 3D like Afterlife was. I had to wait till it hit Blu-ray to see that one.

Would have loved to get a shot at Prometeus, but the local Cinemark has gone Real3D crazy. The earliest 2D showing was on at 1330 hrs and next Saturday it starts at 1440hrs. Guess, I will wait till it hits Amazon Instant Video to rent it. I'm getting really sick of the local theaters in the area.

G.I. Joe Retaliation: Release date moved so it is not a summer movie anymore. .
Horrible idea, it was one of the few movies I was looking forward to this summer. Oh well. That leaves me an extra $5.25 in my pocket.

This looks a lot better then the first one, and its got two of my favorite fun movie actors. So, I will definitely give this a chance...if the Cinemark doesn't over do the 3D showings like it has most of the movies I have been interested in seeing over the last 4 months.

Netflix Basically Wants All The Cancelled Shows: Might Set Its Sights On "The River".
Hmm, if they do pick these up I may restart my Netflix subscription once these are in affect. Right now the only difference between Netflix and Amazon Prime Video is that Netflix has a better Anime selection.

John Carter Pretty Much Bombs Domestically, Kinda Doesn't Overseas, and Other Super Important Box Office News.
I might have given Jame's Carter a chance, but the local Cinemark is concentrating on 3D versions of the movie and typically leaving a single 2D showing. If it wasn't up in the air already, that alone tosses it to the rent pile.

Might have seen it, after the review from Comicvine. This one makes it iffy on whether I see it or not. Then I go check my local Cinemark and they only have one 2D showing of it. Yet, there are plenty of 3D showing of the movie. I guess this will be another wait for it to hit Amazon as a rental.

Still not sure about John Carter or Hunger Games. I'll probably give the Titans and Raid a chance depending on how bored I am. All around, there really aren't any movies coming out that I just have to see. With luck these won't be all 3D with a single non-3D showing at the local Cinemark.
