Branagh is, for better or for worse, officially out.  Who would you like to see take his place.

Possible Choices (Though I Don't Think They Will Actually Be Chosen):

Sam Raimi
The Spiderman director has invented the modern day superhero genre.  He makes movies with depth, humor, action, and astounding visuals.  It would be hard to find a better choice.

Renny Harlin
Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger, and 12 Rounds director Harlin is not used to fantasy, but he definitely knows how to do action.  He has an annoying tendency towards shaky-cam, but he generally makes entertaining films with everything wanted from an action movie.  And he usually works with a smaller budget, and his visions could be improved with more money.

Martin Campbell
Green Lantern was a flawed movie, yes, but it also proved Campbell is skillful with super-hero, fantasy-esque movies.  And the more comic Thor would be a better choice for the light attitude that some were offended to see used on Hal Jordan.

Gavin Hood
X-Men Origins: Wolverine managed to make a good story that fit continuity with the other XMEN films and left room for other movies (such as Gambit).  And Hood won tons of praise for indie pictures.
