Much the same as last year, I left off the short subjects because I hardly ever watch short films. And Documentary Feature this year too, because again, haven't seen enough of them. But Best Foreign Language Film makes an appearance because I actually saw a few of them. And Best Original Song too because there were some truly exceptional songs put out this year. Color me surprised. And you'll notice one new category, Best Title Credits Sequence. This is an aspect of filmmaking that takes a lot of work and doesn't get nearly enough recognition. If the Academy really wanted to acknowledge the best in filmmaking, it's a category they'd bring back. Because yes in fact there was at one point an Oscar for Best Title Writing (for the first ceremony in 1928 only).

Pretty good list; it's a shame the academy completely passed over some of these. I would have tossed Melancholia a few noms as well.
edit: oh yeah, and TAKE SHELTER. Man, that was a great movie that got very little buzz this year.
Unfortunately didn't see Take Shelter. The only thing I was considering giving Melancholia is a Best Cinematography nod, but I just felt the other five were better in that respect. It would be #6.
