I'm not going to limit this to a specific number, cause I'm sure I'll be surprised again at some point in the future. Maybe Alicia Silverstone will get an Oscar nomination for something. I'm not holding my breath. But no matter how much you may dislike any of the actors mentioned here, they've all done at least one movie worth checking out thanks to an uncharacteristically good performance. And no, Nicolas Cage will not be on this list because I've determined the strength of his good performances (8 or 9 of them by my reckoning) outweighs the avalanche of bad.
