Over on Comic Vine I've been posting blogs that shine a much deserved spotlight on the fan art of some extremely talented (yet unpublished) artists. Yet when I saw these, I thought they'd be more apt on Screened... since it's all from the BBC's hit modern version of Sherlock.

I stumbled across these this weekend when looking for an iPhone case (it's my new baby, and so I need to personalise it :) Aside from the usual fluffy of comic book designs, I was absolutely entranced by these digital paintings. I don't know much about Alice X Zhang aside from what is on her tumblr account. Her style reminds me a lot of the comic artist Benjamin... I wonder if they're related? Anyway, Alice clearly has a thing for Stephen Moffat's Sherlock, as you can see from her Sherlock appreciation tumblr page ;)

I really wanted to post these for my lovely Twitter-friend Dyana who is a self-confessed Cumberb!tch. I hope she likes these as much as I do :)

If you liked this, then please don't forget to loo at Alice X Zhang's tumblr (where you can see her Oscar 2012 Doodles :)

It's a given that when I'm trying to scope out a new site I'll search for the X-Men... only there were oodles of results that had nothing to do with the mutie freaks I love so much.  Instead there were about 2 dozen French films, actors & actresses.
Huh?

Oh yeah, when a name is spelt with an é (that's an "e-acute") somewhere along the line the database became corrupted.  The e-acute was transformed into a bizarre series of letters & characters: é

Why those, I don't know.  All I know is it was funny finding lots of Cléments & Clémences.  But it took me an age to figure out  Clément Révérend ( Clément Révérend) &  Clément Hervieu-Léger (Clément Hervieu-Léger).

I didn't think I'd be of much use to Screened, but I've found one thing I can do... Fix all these funky names :)
