Yuri_Andreyevich (Level 13)

I was a bit skeptical about Potemkin really being as classic a film as they said because I was sure most newer films would have superseded it by now, but then I watched it, and the attack scene, the motion of it, thrilled me in a way I'd never experienced before.  Really masterful work.
 
Stalker is probably my favorite of Tarkovsky's because its ambition was so high, but I guess the same could be said for Solaris as well.
