Rachel Dawes

Overview:

Bruce Wayne's long time childhood friend and partial love interest in the Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Played by both Holmes and Gyllenhaal, Rachel acted as Wayne's moral center and could keep him grounded and attached to Gotham as he evolved his alternate persona Batman. As Wayne seemed to act more like a rich and spoiler playboy she drifted towards Harvey Dent as someone who would stand up against the corruption in Gotham. As a defense attorney herself Rachel often becomes the target of the corruption within Gotham but she fights on hoping to make it a better place.
