Raging Bull is a 1980 biographical drama based on the autobiography "Raging Bull: My Story" by boxer Jake LaMotta. Although initial reception was mixed, it is now considered one of the great sports films, and consistently ranks among the best American films of all time.
In the scene where Jackie asks Joey "Did you fuck my wife?" Scorsese told De Niro to say "Did you fuck your mother?" in order to elicit a more genuine "What?" reaction.
