An homage to 1930's adventure serials, Indiana Jones, adventurer-archaeologist, is hired by the United States to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis do in this 1981 classic from George Lucas and Steven Spielberg.

Jeff Bridges was offered the role of Indiana Jones, but turned it down.
