AKA Gambit, is a mutant and member of the X-Men who can super-charge objects with kinetic energy and use them as explosive weapons, he prefers playing cards.
Abandoned at birth, his father left him because of his red on black eyes. He was stolen from a New Orleans orphanage by the Thieves Guild who trained him to become a thief. He was taken in by Antiquairy, a so called 'collector' of children or in other words he was a pedophile. However the leader of the thieves guild did not like Remy being in the care of Antiqauiry and took care of the child himself.
Gambit was a member of the X-Men throughout the show's run. When the time traveling mutant Bishop arrived form the future, he accused Gambit of assassinating Senator Robert Kelly. The assassin was later revealed to be Mystique and Gambit's name was cleared.
Gambit in X-Men Evolution differed from the comics and previous portrayals by showing him as one of Magneto's Acolytes and he never joined the X-Men during the series entire run. He first appears when Rogue tries to sneak up on him to absorb his powers but is stopped by him as he was prepared. He startles Rogue and she finds him standing there, smiling at her. He takes the time to flirt with her and then hands her a charged King of Hearts and then runs off. He was alter hypnotized by Mesmero, a servant of Apocalypse to break into Angel's house and steal half of a spider-stone. Magneto showed up and threatened Mesmero into releasing him.
Gambit, later on in the show's run kidnapped Rogue to manipulate her into helping him rescue his adoptive father Jean-Luc LeBeau from a rival group of Thieves called the Rippers. After untying his father, he asks him to help him in raiding the Rippers Mansion to which Remy replies "You don' need me for that". In reality his father did require his powers but not him. Gambit replies to him saying " I was right, nothing has changed" and walked away. He then gives Rogue a Queen of Hearts to which he referred as his "lucky lady", inferring that he had some feelings for her.
Little is known about the origins of the man called Gambit, he spent two years at the holding facility for the top secret Weapon X Project on Three Mile Island. He earned the name Gambit due to his reputation for winning poker games against the guards. He escaped the facility and relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana. Wolverine came to New Orleans looking for information about the facility and visited Gambit in a bar. He mistook Wolverine for a Weapon X agent and sent him flying through a wall after using his kinetically charged playing cards on him. Outside the bar, Wolverine found Victor Creed AKA Sabretooth standing over the dead body of John Wraith.
Wolverine proceed to fight him but was interrupted by Gambit and his Bo staff he used to create a shockwave to separate them. Victor fled and after briefly struggling with Wolverine he told him he would take him to the mutant prison on Three Mile Island. After dropping Wolverine off from his plane, he left, reappearing later when Logan was about to be crushed by a falling cooling tower. He ordered Remy to ensure all the prisoners were safe, while he went after Silverfox who stayed behind. When Wolverine came back, Gambit found he had been shot in the head with an adamantium bullet by Col. Stryker, the head of Weapon X. He asked Gambit his name to which Gambit replied "Logan".
Gambit besides being a highly trained thief has the ability to kinetically charge objects, most commonly playing cards which uses as offensive weapons. Objects he charges explode upon impact. He is unable to charge living things and can only charge non living things. As a result of his mutation, Remy's eyes are red on black. He also posses a hypnotic charm that allows him to subtly influence a sentient mind. Remy is also a skilled fighter with his preferred weapon of choice, the Bo staff. He also can throw small weapons such as playing cards with deadly accuracy.
Remy is known as something of a ladies man, charming and good looking.
