Robert Redford is an American actor, director, and producer who is also known for his outspoken environmentalism and philanthropy. Emerging from the New York theatre scene in the early 1960s, Redford's star power surged with appearances in The Great Gatsby, Three Days of the Condor, and All the President's Men. He is the founder of the annual Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
