Entertaining as it is, Robin Hood feels like an odd blend of a few different films, and only barely winds up being coherent as a result.

Robin, a soldier and master archer in the service of King Richard, wearies of the war against the French and retires to the town of Nottingham where he finds the town oppressed by its local sheriff and citizens in need. When he falls in love with the lovely Lady Marion, Robin decides to stay and fight on behalf of the people for justice.
