Critical Reception

Safe received mixed to positive reviews from critics, who liked the action and the excitement but thought it was formulaic. On Rotten Tomtoes, it scored a 54% (a film needs above a 60% to be Fresh). On Metacritic it scored a 55. This gave it the color Yellow and the category "Mixed Reviews." It had 10 positive reviews (a relatively high number), 13 mixed reviews, and 2 negative ones.
