I hope you really like the current onslaught of Marvel movies, because it seems like the assembly line for these things is going to continue unabated for quite some time. Appearing on the Radio Big Boy show (which CinemaBlend calls "the most annoying radio show in the history of the world"--have they heard Jamie Foxx's show?), Samuel L. Jackson dropped a tidbit that a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie is in the works post Avengers. 
 

 “The Avengers should start shooting some time next year, and then some time after that there’ll be a big S.H.I.E.L.D. movie.”

 
Well, that sure does sound awfully definitive, but you know, I don't know if I entirely trust Samuel L.'s word on this. As CinemaBlend goes on to say, he also had no idea who was starring in the Captain America movie (which he is in, by the way) and thought Chris Pine was starring in Thor. At the same time, considering the onslaught of Marvel properties being talked about for film treatments (Ant-Man, Luke Cage, etc.) this makes sense, especially since they've already got Samuel L. heavily on board for a bunch of these other movies. 
 
For my money though, there is already a definitive Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. movie. Anything else is just superfluous.

Love the idea, if we can just change Sam for a better actor... unless they are doing Nick alternate which could work I guess

Christ...I'm completely drained when it comes to Marvel movies. Where's DC and their own movie rebuttals! =( 
Been ages since the last Superman movie.

The perfect Fury movie with the Hoffer himself already exist, why remake it?

Just want to say, Chris Pine should have been Captain America. That's all I can think of now.

I just hope he has better dialogue written for him going forward.  The lines he had in Iron Man 2 were groan inducing.

SHIELD seem to take their inspiration from Captain Scarlet with that sky base.

I hate it when movies change a character to the point that they are a different race. I know there is a comic universe where nick is black, but the real, and only, nick fury is and always will be white in my books. He never seemed as imposing as a black guy as he did in his original form. My problem is since in the comics they modeled him after Jackson, no matter what they do with that character it just looks like Jackson being all Jackson. And at this point the man is just a parody of himself in about 99% of his work.

i wouldnt mind seeing Fury do an interrogation pulp fiction style.

I wonder what they'll do for it.

I just really wish the S.H.I.E.L.D. Movie stars not only Nick Fury but characters like Carol Danvers, Jessica Drew, Jessica Jones, Walter Lawson (Cap Marvel), Dum Dum Dugan, Abigail Brand, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, Bobbi Morse, Maria Hill and Clint Barton...
all besides Black Widow and Phil Coulson!
 
I want to see that SHIELD field team... or something similar!

agreed Fury is way more bad ass than what 

Nick Fury is black. I had heard of this but had not yet seen an image of it.
