So I loved this movie but I was wondering, do you want there to be a sequel and do you think there might be one?

Thanks.

This film was easily my favorite film of 2010. I can see myself quoting it for years to come. Unfortunately, it didn't do too well, so there won't be a sequel. However, even if it had done well, I highly doubt they'd make another. The story was closed enough that it doesn't need one, and frankly I don't want one.

Bryan Lee O'Malley said he's done with Scott Pilgrim, but I'm almost positive I heard Edgar Wright said he had some ideas for a sequel. It will probably never happen, but I would welcome it as long as Wright was still behind the camera.

Why would he be done with Scott Pilgrim?! It's SO GOOD!

Even if it didn't do well, could DVD sales, later screenings etc make up for it?

Scott pilgrim is based on the comic books which is 6 books long but the movie condensed the whole story to one movie so I don't think they do another movie without another series. If you want more stories then you could always check out the books because the movie cut a big portion of the book's story.

Part of the success (quality wise, not box office of course) of Scott Pilgrim is its uniqueness.  Edgar Wright clearly put every idea he had into the flick, which made it very visually compelling.  I'm sure there are different things he could do with another attempt, but it would always feel like he'd be rehashing the original things that he's already done.

I say let a good movie stand alone. I'm sure whatever (different) thing he tries next will be great! (fingers crossed for a feature-length version of Don't)

Is there a way for O'Malley to do more Scott Pilgrim books? I know he said he would take a break but.. =/

@NekuSakuraba: O'malley has already said he is done with the Scott Pilgrim. The best you can hope for is him doing a spin-off book with one of the secondary characters, most likely Kim because her story never really concluded, but I doubt they would make a movie about her because they made her a throw-away character in the movie.

As I really hated the movie, no. Michael Cera should just not act in anything until the Arrested Development movie is out

No. I LOVED Scott Pilgrim, but I think it's best on its own. What would it even be?

I think the story ended perfectly, with nothing left unsaid, really (not really). Really.

I'm okay with this being the end... but I'd love more books and more animation.

Only if it was about Knives Chau and was something like Kill Bill but with Yakuza and instead of using a bunch of video game motifs, they used a lot of images from anime like moving from one spot to another in a blink of an eye, fighting while flying, hurling flashly bolts of energy, screaming to power up, and then having the rocks and dirt float up from all that power, etc...also people getting knocked back through multiple buildings, massive underground scientific factories, and maybe a few vampire-lolitas and a giant robot to top it all off.  That's what I'd like to see in an Scott Pilgrim sequel...although it would also mean no Scott or Ramona.  Honestly, I'm okay with that.

I'd only want a sequel if it was based off of more books by O'Malley and if Wright was still behind it, but O'Malley said he was done with that series and universe and whatnot so it's a no. For me, Scott Pilgrim (the series) ended on a pretty perfect note and I don't see a way to improve on that or add anything worthwhile afterwards.

Though I'd love to see a full-fledged Scott Pilgrim Vs. The Animation series-I really dug the short that Titmouse did.
