" This is OT but I went to the IMDB boards to talk about the movie but they are mostly trolls. Any active boards on it? Seems our is fairly dead.(I mean SP boards not the forums as a whole). "
Word of advice, literally never use the IMDb community for anything. They make Giantbomb look smart.

I really loved the film, but have no desire to see a sequel. Not hard to see why it bombed at the box office as it has quite a niche appeal. But, I do think it'll be regarded fondly as time goes on.

I've seen it in stores for a bargain price, so I assume it only found a limited audience.

Yet again.
A bargain price? I heard it did well on DVD... "
It probably did well out the gate and then started to fall off again very quickly. Speed Racer flopped at the box office and did almost the same amount of business on DVD.

I liked Scott Pilgrim enough, but then the fans and people talking about how it "justified their life" started to annoy me.

I am a big Scott Pilgrim fan but the idea of it, or most any movie, justifying someone's life is unbelievably sad.

@TheFreeMan: Isn't it? They said it's because they played a lot of video games, so seeing something that references them makes all their time playing games seem worthwhile.
Which is also pointless, you shouldn't have to have the thing that your job is based on justified to you somehow (they were games journalists)

How can a movie even justify someones life?

Looks like it did mediocre at best on DVD/Blu-Ray.  You can find it on bargain at most stores.  Wal-Mart has stopped carrying it, and Amazon even has it for pretty cheap. According to the sales figures it's done worse than legitimately terrible 2010 movies like "The A-Team" It's kind of too bad because Scott Pilgrim is a FANTASTIC film, and I think the bonus features on the Blu-Ray/DVD are some of the best I've seen for any film to date.  If you are a fan of the movie, the best thing you could do is recommend it to your friends, and help with word-of-mouth and hope one day it gains a strong enough cult following that perhaps more books or other material is released.  Have you read the graphic novels?  I'd strongly recommend them!  As much as I agree with the person who said they'd rather there not be a sequel to the film, I'd love to see other Pilgrim books released, even if it was just an expanded version of the current stories, prequels, or other material.  The characters are great, the stories are entertaining, and with over 1,000 pages of Scott Pilgrim material already out there, fans of the movie should be checking out the books if they are wanting more.  It opens in Japan later this month...who knows...maybe the movie will finally find it's audience?
