Thank you Giant Bomb for finding this trailer.

I'll be honest in saying that the video game references and doo-dads in the actual movie worked for me, and were kind of charming and awesome to see. I feel like director Edgar Wright made the movie so awesome, that someone decided that it could use a video game adaptation as well, being an action story of sorts. Dude, this totally works, and will work! I love the Castle Crashers and Arcade Simpsons Game 4 player co-op, side scrolling stuff, colliding with the crazy and loud style of the story. Plus, I truly thank the developers for sticking to the comic art, rather than making it stick with the movie. Thank you; so much. This is an overall smart move on whoever's hand. Also, apparently the music sounds like and is probably being done by a famous video game music composer; great stuff! An excellent idea and so far, execution all around!

What shocks me, ultimately, is the fact that Ubisoft didn't bother showing this off during their press conference. I thought they liked correlating their selves and their work with movies! Well, based on how that thing was after the Shaun White Skateboarding presentation, I didn't really have any right to expect anything cool. Regardless, this seems like the perfect game, done for a property ripe for an adaptation. Kudos, Ubisoft. I forgive you for Battle Tag... kind of. Or not announcing MOON WALKER 2. YOU BITCHES.

Anyone else excited or interested by this? Oh Come on! That TRAILER IS AWESOME!

And there goes my one Arrested Development joke of the day.

EDIT: Sorry folks, forgot to mention it's for download on the PS3, and here's hoping, on XBLA.

I'm a massive Scott Pilgrim fan and I'm definitely going to check this out and have lots of fun. It appeals to me in all the right places-charming graphics and sound, retro references, beat em up gameplay, co-op and the like.

Even though it's a game based on a movie title if it came to xbox live I'd probably give it a try.

Defeat seven evil ex-boyfriends? That's easy. Once my girlfriend made me defeat twenty-five evil kittens. At least, I'm pretty sure they were evil.
