Which did you prefer? Which parts do you think were better in which medium? Which parts do you wish were in the movie from the books?

i love the first half of the film but i like the last half of the books. its just cause there were a lot of emotional scenes near the end of the book series that i dont think were done as great in the film. still loved both though a lot

Same here about the desert scene. I love that thing. And as an indian kid raised in the west who denounces bollywood, i cringed during the matthew patel scene, but it was a good cringe. Even though I read all the books first, I'm kinda torn between which i liked more. I really wanted Scott to end up with knives, apparently that was how it was supposed to end in the movie.

it was just a little happier although i wish theyd gone with that original ending, hopefully something on the dvd.

I'll admit I only read the first book but I didn't like it at all. Found the movie much more enjoyable.

@Diabloshadow:  Might wanna spoiler tag that, friend. I've already read all six volumes so I'm fine with it, but some other folks might not take too kindly to it.

@Kraznor: It's surprisingly common that folks really don't like the first book, but find the next books to be a lot more enjoyable. There was a fella I saw who absolutely hated the first book, kinda liked the second, and then loved the rest. I'd recommend for you to try the next book out!

Example: me. I'm kidding, i've already had it spoiled for a little.

another thing that i was kind of annoyed by after reading the books... Roxy's character was pretty not well done in the movie, in my opinion. It's not the actress (she's great), but I feel that some of the stuff that goes down with her character, Scott, and et cetera in the book are pretty... i suppose important? It's some stuff that would be helpful or interesting or worthwhile to know of in the film :P oh well

this is true. after Todd Ingram, the rest of the movie would've been better if it correlated more with the books, with the appropriate characters (after the same point.)

though, the entire movie is still awesome, awesome, awesome.
