Silver Surfer

Born on the planet Zenn-La and a scientist in a Utopian society, Norrin Radd longed to travel and see the stars. When the cosmic entity Galactus arrived to destroy his world, Norrin offered his services to Galactus, and was thus transformed into his herald - the Silver Surfer.

While he planned to lure Galactus away from civilized worlds, Galactus removed his memories during the transformation. As the Silver Surfer, he would become one of the most feared beings in the universe, a bringer of doom to all those that saw him.

When Galactus traveled to Earth to destroy it, the Fantastic Four stood up to the threat. During this time, some of Norrin's humanity was brought to the surface by a blind woman named Alicia Masters. The Surfer fought alongside the Fantastic Four to repel his former master. They were successful, but for some time the Surfer would be trapped on the planet he saved, remaining a feared and misunderstood being on the planet Earth.
