I really, really loved this episode. Sure in true CW fashion it was cheesy and possibly taking it self more seriously then it should but it was just exciting.
 
I betcha tess is alive and that was mrs. kent going in. Clark is alive since....hey he is superman. and green arrow, alive?
 
I'm actually surprised how many threads they left hanging. They have a core cast of people on the show.

Yeah, it's not often I really enjoy an episode of Smallville. I just watch it for nostalgia's sake. But I did enjoy this episode.
 
It took too long for Tess to die (if she did). Twice I thought she was dead, and the third was finally the confirmed one. 
Green Arrow is probably fine, I.E. "They're not Kandorian" (however it's spelled) 
But man, why did they have to leave it at such a cliffhanger? We know Clark is just going to be saved by Hawkman or something. Why couldn't they fit that in at least?

I really, really hope that the whole lois, superman thing is put to rest and that he can finally fly.

@Retnex: Yep, exacly my thought, she has been playing that role for this season and to have half her faced burned was really good way to show how she has flipped many times.
 
Thing is, we had clark dream where he is flying and his mom gave him his outfit as a gift. They need to take this next step.

That would be awesome, but we probably won't see it in Smallville. Maybe if they made a spin off, but with the show ending soon it's unlikely. 
 
Smallville is pretty much its own story. They've made so many changes that they can now go any way they want to with it, like an alternate universe. If they ever make it that far, they will decide when to let him fly in tights.
