Speed is one of those movies that, if you're like me and watch it every 2-3 years, is awesome. But upon close inspection, this movie has some major flaws. Personally, I am a big fan of things blowing up, so this movie's premise was very enticing to me. All of the action scenes and crashes look very well made, and make for a great cinematic experience. I found the plot to be a little thin. It's basically "Dude puts bomb on bus, Keanu Reeves gets other people off bus. Meets Chick bus driver. Rescues passengers. Bus Blows up. Train Chase. The End." While not extravagant, it's still a very amusing film that I enjoy every few years when I watch it. Avoid the Sequel at all costs though, that's a bummer of a movie. But in the end, this is an overall good movie, enjoyable by any action fan. 4 Stars
