No Jar-Jar or Anakin in sight
No Jar-Jar or Anakin in sight

We can only hope Lucas made his most extensive adjustment yet and digitally removed them completely. Alas, I doubt we're so lucky.

I'm still not quite sure why this exists. I remember seeing A New Hope when it was re-released in cinemas years ago and enjoying the hell out of the experience, but that was actually a good movie. I imagine some kids will enjoy it but if this makes Lion King money I'll be royally confused.

I came in here to say "they didn't forget Anakin" but they totally did. Good on them! People forget too often, distracted by JarJar maybe, just how bad young Anakin's performance was even by kid actor standards.

That said, this looks like a photoshop mockup. Not the poster, but the idea for a poster you throw together before making the real poster.

That poster almost looks fan made. Weird.

It also doesn't have Qui Gonn or Queen Amidala, weird?

People still use lens flares? Really?

I think the poster gives too much attention to characters in the movie that play a small role. Yoda is hardly seen, Darth Maul has less than 10 minutes of screen time. Obi Wan but no Qui Gon? In the grand scheme of themes, I suppose it works.

Oh, and technically Anakin is there, in the pod racer. That works for me.

That is a pretty shitty poster.
