Cool. The original Star Wars trilogy is so beloved. So obviously they'd be besties.

This movie is perfectly paced. It's kind of amazing how many things are plot threads going on simultaneously and then they all get tied together in what, for my money, is the best third act of any movie ever. Han getting frozen is one of the most amazing scenes ever filmed on pretty much every level; performance, set design, lighting, score, writing, and, of course, acting. Amazing that in spite of all that it's still one-upped by Vader's reveal 15 minutes later. So good. I just need to go watch this again. Like right now...
I agree with Rorie on the twist at the end. I don't really remember a time when I didn't know what was coming, so it's never really had the impact on me that it could have.
Also, friggin orange and blue. It's everywhere. I wasn't aware that it went back that far.
For the longest time when I was a kid, I thought Empire was the most boring. It is only when I got older that I learned to appreciate it. A New Hope is still my favorite though.

AT-AT Day Afternoon
Canadian filmmaker Patrick Boivin always wanted a pet dog and an AT-AT toy when he was young. Now, why not have both? |
