A CGI animated show within the Star Wars universe that takes place between the movies Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith during the Clone Wars, a war between the Republic and the Separatists. It follows several characters from the movies including several that get more screen time and personality. Generally the episodes follow small arcs but individually stories are not told in chronologically to allow the possibility of more stories between episode arcs. Generally the shows follow Anakin Skywalker and his padawan learner Ahsoka Tano as she grows into a Jedi Knight before Anakin falls into the dark side.
Obi-Wan Kenobi Jedi Master and former teacher to Anakin Skywalker. Kenobi is spending the most of his time as a general in the Republic army leading clone troopers on several missions to secure systems from the Separatists.
Anakin Skywalker is a Jedi Knight and teacher to padawan Ahsoka Tano. During the Clone Wars Anakin served as a general helping fight in many battles as well as teaching his padawan his own brand of teachings. Anakin is seen as slowly giving into temptation of the dark side but mostly as a very capable, and powerful Jedi Knight.
Ahsoka Tano is a padawan learner under Anakin Skywalker and generally mimics some of his better and worse attributes. Ahsoka is seen as getting a grasp on the general teachings of the Jedi trying to balance what she learns from Anakin with the teachings and wisdom of other Jedi.
Commander Cody, or CC-2224, is a clone trooper in the Republic army and often fights along side Jedi like Kenobi and Skywalker. Cody is seen as a very capable trooper on par with the ability of some Jedi in battle. Kenobi and Cody seem to have the closest professional relationship especially after Cody saves his life multiple times.
Count Dooku is the Separatist political leader and secretly the Sith padawan under Palpatine. Pretending to be the leader of the Sith, Dooku orchestrates the Clone War and tries to influence, by force or otherwise, new systems to join his cause.
General Grievous is the cyborg military leader in the Separatist army. Count Dooku recruited Grievous shortly after the beginning of the Clone Wars to both lead its armies and to be a trump card against Jedi. After an accident in his past Grievous was rebuilt with cyborg armor and trained in lightsaber arts by Dooku to be a Jedi killer.
Asajj Ventress is a dark force user and false padawan to Count Dooku. In order to fool the Jedi and to have another asset in his corner, Dooku recruited Ventress as a dark force user during the Clone Wars. Even after proving her worth Dooku counts her as unworthy as a Sith and casts her aside.
