Right now they are being cagey about what that means. This article is so far only taking about minor fixes like a new audio mix, fixed lightsabers, & removal of puppeter hands. But they do expect bigger changes (they predict CG Yoda in Episode I, but that is not confirmed.)

Ugh. Minor fixes sure but live with your mistakes Lucas. I found the puppet Yoda in Episode 1 fine, sure it looked dated and a bit out of place but it gave Yoda his traditional movements and personality that came from Frank Oz.

I never grew up watching the original Star Wars movies so it doesn't affect me as much, but I'm looking forward to seeing what exactly has changed and fans bitching about said changes.

And by fans I mean Gary Whitta.

Changes mentioned in the article seem like good things, Audio fixes and whatnot. It's not like I'm going to watch Ep I anyone, so do whatever the hell you want with it Lucas. But those silly CGI additions to the original films are very bad. It's mostly ignorable but the worst was the dance party in Jabba's lair in Ep VI.

Funny that Lucas can't even seem to resist the urge to edit films he had TOTAL control over. Notice the distinct lack of outrage by most people? That's because the prequels are at best a guilty pleasure for those who like them.

I grew up watching all six movies so I have an appreciation for all and I support changing the Puppet Yoda in Episode I to CGI because he always did look too old for when the film was set. Collider also reported the story and actually has pictures and video of the CGI Yoda in Phantom Menace. Here's the link to anyone who's interested.
