Stargate SG-1 Trivia

  • Peter Deluise appears as an extra on many of the episodes he has directed.
  • Teal'c played by Christopher Judge wore a Gold Emblem on his forehead for all but 3 of the 213 episodes he has appeared in, they are the "The Gamekeeper", "2010" and "The Changeling".
  • This is the only television series currently endorsed and supported by the United States armed forces (particularly the Air Force).
  • It was originally planned to end the series after seven seasons and make a feature film which would be the show's finale. But the show's ratings on the Sci-Fi led to it being renewed for an eight season and the film turned into the seventh season two-parter "The Lost City".
  • Ep. 1 Children of the Gods
Because the Pilot first debuted on Showtime, the episode contained full frontal female nudity in one scene. Due to the consideration for future syndication, this was never repeated, and the nudity was censored in the future showings. The DVD showed the scene uncensored
  • Ep. 16 Urgo
Urgo is played by Dom Deluise the father of Peter Deluise, who directed fifty-six episodes between 1999 and 2007.
  • Ep. 6 200
Sean 10, Episode 6: :"200" features a parody of Farscape, the cancelled sci-fi program that Ben Browder and Claudia Black starred in prior to SG-1. Soon after the episode's airing Syfy announced they would not be renewing SG-1 for an 11th season.
