States Of Play is a political journalism thriller based on a UK TV production of the same name.Russell Crowe stars as Cal McAffrey, a reporter for the Washington Globe, who is investigating the shooting of two people under a bridge. As the investigation deepens not everything is as it seems.

Why is that, 'cause nobody reads the papers anymore, is that it? It's just another story in a couple days, this shitstorm, and it's wrapping paper? You know, in the middle of all this gossip and speculation that permeates peoples' lives I still think they know the difference between real news and bullshit; and they're glad someone cares enough to get things on the record and print the truth.
