Steven Seagal is an American actor, martial artist, and recently deputy sheriff who started as an aikido teacher before being cast in Above the Law and inadvertently achieving fame. His most successful feature film was Under Siege, but it also marked the peak of his popularity, with most subsequent titles being straight-to-video releases.
