Stormtrooper

Background:

Soldiers of the Empire, Stormtroopers represent the strength and power of Emperor Palpatine. 

Major Plots:

Near the beginning of the Clone Wars it was discovered by Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi a cloning facility on Kamino, ordered by another Jedi, forming an army for the Republic. Jango Fett, a notorious bounty hunter, was the original DNA taken to form perfect soldiers for the clones. Initially the Republic had no interest in forming an army as the Jedi were traditionally the keepers of peace for the Republic. But soon after the Separatist threat in the galaxy grew into a war the Jedi couldn't handle by themselves, Master Yoda retrieved the new army and threw them into battle on Geonosis where the Clone Wars began. 

For years the Clone troopers fought for the Republic along side the Jedi who served as generals. Near the end though newly established Emperor Palpatine gave order 66 and all clone troopers turned on the Jedi executing thousands. Now the clone troopers were servants of the new Galactic Empire and these clones were renamed Imperial Stormtroopers. 

Redesigned Armor 

Originally the stormtrooper ranks consisted only of the original troops created after Jango Fett's DNA. Soon though, after a clone rebellion on Kamino, the clone troopers were being supplemented by enlisted humans and the original clone armor was changed to the more recognizable stormtrooper armor. The recruits were no where near the skill level of traditional clones but at the beginning of the end of the Empire they became the majority of the Imperial army.

Despite losses at the Death Star destruction and on Hoth, stormtroopers never experienced heavy losses until the battle of Endor. A legion of stormtroopers were stationed on the forest planet in order to prevent a small batch of rebels from destroying a shield generator protecting the second Death Star. But even after detaining the rebels the troops were caught off guard by the indigenous Ewoks. The troopers were overwhelmed by the Ewoks simple tactics and this lead to a major defeat. 

Personality and Traits:

Stormtroopers are best recognized by their armor, which is mostly white pieces over top a black body seal. This was similar to the clone trooper armor but changed shortly after a clone rebellion on Kamino to help distinguish Imperial stormtroopers from old clones from the Republic.
