I can't be the only one who thinks this is gonna be horrible.  Slow-mo/CG/"hot" girl overload with no actual movie behind it.  It just seems childish and BORING.

It's better than "From the director of Legend of the Guardian: The Owls of Ga'Hoole", though I kind of wish they would say that now that I think of it.

This seems to be hitting all of the B-movie goodies, but the movie will live and die with the actual story. I am interested to say the least. 
 
Oh yeah, I also wonder why Emma Stone turned her part in this down.

Am I the only one who thinks that this would be a way better video game than a movie? The movie might still be good, but when I saw that machine-gun wielding samurai, first thing that comes to mind is "Epic boss battle." Also, collecting 5 items? Sounds like finding the Tri-Force from Zelda.

Normally I would agree with you, but.... I dunno. The overload looks like such an overload that it might actually compensate. Definitely an original enough premise that it's worth seeing how it turns out, I think.

They really ought to cut the bits before the imaginary world out of the trailer, they seemed really ham-handed until you realize what sort of movie they're trying to make.  
 
That said, by establishing at the beginning that all the crazy shit is imaginationland it loses any possible narrative impact unless they really get deep with the metaphors (you know, like explosions).
