The Hunger Games return with such a sequel twist that you can't believe writer Suzanne Collins didn't think of film when writing. Catching Fire builds up with all types of subversive messaging which is interesting but also brings into relief the limitations of the genre and film.
Jim Street and Brian Gamble are partners on LAPD's S.W.A.T. until a call goes wrong and they are both benched from the team. Gamble disappears and Street puts in his time until Sgt. "Hondo" shows up looking to put together a new S.W.A.T. team and makes Street his first pick.
The director, Clark Johnson, has a cameo role as "Deke's Handsome Partner".
