We'll get our own version of this Amazing Spider-Man trailer up (hopefully in HD) whenever it magically decides to materialize, but for now, enjoy this embedded stream (courtesy of The Movie List) where you can see all the stuff you saw in the shaky-cam version, except in clearer, and less barfy form.

It's a good trailer that definitely seems to have its focus on a less decidedly goofy version of the Spider-Man origin story than Sam Raimi's riff. Not sure exactly how it'll play yet, but color me intrigued.

I'm honestly surprised they ended up going with Marc Webb for the director, but also I think it's an inspired choice.

I think some of the lines come off sounding a little hokey. Especially the "We all have secrets - the ones we keep, and the ones that are kept from us."

I think this is going to be a much more faithful adaptation than Raimi's version, which seemed a lot closer to the 60's cartoon than the comics of the past couple decades.

I don't know if there is a better Spider-man origin than one that has Bruce Campbell announcing you for a wrestling match.

Looks pretty good, glad that it won't have the goofy vibe of the Raimi movies, as I don't think they would really fit into a post-Dark Knight comic book world. Anyways, it's got a pretty perfect cast and director, so I say bring on the Spidey.

I find the focus on Parker's parents interesting. In the comics they were SHIELD agents or something... I don't know. I just always assumed that his parents were dead and that's why he was living with his Aunt and Uncle. Either way, it's a side of Spider-Man's mythology that I've never really explored before so there seems like there will be new stuff in here for me in spite of the fact that it's the origin again.

trailer definitely is a lot better with out the shakicam... unsurprisingly.

Having grown up on the Lee/Ditko Spiderman (which is what I though Raimi was going for in Spiderman and, for the most part - other than the end - got right) I don't really feel the dark and broody webslinger (not to say it couldn't work, mind you)...

And, really, does EVERY superhero need to be all angsty and emo? Really?

I would be interested in this if it came out in another 10-20 years. Also:

Seems like a pointless remake of such a recent (and well-done) film. Sony's just milking the movie rights while they can, and throwing in some Twilight-style angst (and hairdo) to pander to current trends. Bah!

Umm it appears to have been taken down.

It actually does look better than I thought it would be, but that POV stuff at the end looked far too video gamey. Here's to hoping that stuff is polished up a bit more by release.

Also, Emma Stone. Hnnnnnnnng.
