I'm still blown away by this audition.. as it is yet to happen to me. :P

It's okay I guess.

That might be the dumbest thing I've seen today, even if he did do some sweet moves.

Something about him doesn't shout 'starring actor' not sure what exactly it is. Have to wait till we see Garfield before I make a final judgement but I can understand why Marvel didn't choose Josh.

Well it's not going to be Hutcherson, guys.  So everyone who's upset about him doesn't have to worry.

I just really hope they keep this style of fight choreography & improve upon it for Garfield to kick some villain ass.

This just serves to remind that I really don't care to see the Spider-Man origin story again. If this kinda stuff will be in the movie, this'll be a rental for me.

Would be nice if he could avoid the Kristen Stewart "my mouth can't be shut for longer than five seconds without my brain imploding" look.

Huh, that kid's getting old. I remember watching Bridge to Terebithia from 2008 and he could've got away with being 13. I'm kinda glad he didn't get the part, there's something about his face :\

What worries me is his audition tape is basically a remake of the locker fight scene from Spiderman 1, I was hoping for a Batman Begins-esque dark re-imagining of the franchise.
Maybe that was just the actor's choice but it doesn't inspire confidence.

What's wrong with his mouth?

I thought it was pretty good. Hopefully Andrew Garfield was better.

@TheHT:  Yeah, it bugged & distracted me the entire way through.

His face looked very dead the whole time.  I'm glad they didn't pick him.  Actually his face didn't really look dead, it looked like he was trying to force a tough guy look and it looks really lame.

Granted it's basically a fight demo and not part of a film but damn, I've never seen a more joyless take on Spider-Man than this.

@thabigred:   Sure, I just don't see anything about this that suggests "Ultimate Spider-Man" as opposed to "A new series about The Amazing Spider-Man".
