Apparently Marvel Decided To Just Post The Ending Of Captain America & The Avengers Teaser Trailer Online

This is, indeed, the very last bit of Captain America: The First Avenger. A movie that came out less than a week ago. Here's the end of it. Online. Apparently sanctioned by the studio, considering it's a Yahoo site and it's obviously not some in-theater camera bit, and the post-credit sequence is edited in as a shortened teaser for what you'll get if you go to see it in theaters.

I don't get it, either; why edit down the teaser for The Avengers but make it about as long as the actual teaser in the post-credits sequence is? Why give away the final scene of the film at the same time? Do they just expect that everyone who's going to see it will have already done so by now? I guess we'll go ahead and post them embed since Marvel seems to be cool with it, but...yeah. Color me confused.

Well, all the new ads running on TV right now have Nick Fury in them too. I honestly don't understand who is running the marketing department for these movies.

Yeah this seems a bit odd. Maybe the crazy success of the movie confused them?

Thats especially weird since its only coming out in Ireland tomorrow and I assume thats the same with the rest of Europe.

What the fuck...

If I had to guess because the ending of Captain America and the post credits sequence is essentially a huge teaser for the avengers, they can't start marketing the avengers without answering why is captain America in 2011.

OH SHIT, CAPTAIN'S GONNA GET HIS PHANTOM ON.

Since it's not the whole ending, or the whole teaser, I'm guessing that this is supposed to let people know that they should stay through the credits.

In other news, Firefox is a fucking memory pig. That is all.

Its cut in the TV commercials now.  Maybe they assume people know Captain America's basic story (maybe a too strong of an assumption)  that this really isn't much of a spoiler.

I think its stuff like this that drove Favreau nuts. This is the studio pushing the avengers at the expense of the Captain America movie. Don't get me wrong I'm psyched for the avengers movie, but they have pushed so hard that at times it has been at the expense of the characters stand alone movies.
Granted if you already know enough about Captain America this won't spoil too much, which means its a big spoiler to most.

Crashed on me all day yesterday.

I have no clue what the fuck I'm going to do for EVO tomorrow, I'd stick with Chrome but this fucking browser is all too happy to let ads rape me during streams.

I feel if people not familiar with comics know by now that Captain America is going to have to come to the present since all the other movies in the Avengers line have taken place in modern times. That said, it is kind of weird for them to just put the ending up like that, even in edited form.

That's extremely edited. Missing probably over half of what was in the ending and teaser. Seems they want people to be aware that there is stuff after the credits. I think Marvel made a huge mistake with putting the stuff after the credits and not during it. The average person (who is going to make these movies successful) did not wait to see Nick Fury at the end of Iron Man, and yet they still throw him into Iron Man 2 as if you should know him.

I saw the cap in theaters this past weekend. One of the best superhero movies ever made.

Yeah...

Marvel spoiling the ending of the movie while lots of us still haven't seen it?!...couldn't they have waited like a month or two?? Really?
I see they're applying their method from the comics (spoiling stuff too early...all the time...death of characters, returning ones, plot threads, etc..)

Note: Shouldn't Cap be in his costume while appearing in NY, esthetically speaking? I mean here, it just looks like Chris Evans running around in the city, kinda lost for some reason. Had he been in costume it would have looked a lot more like the guy was lost in time/teleported/etc..?!
