Cool, Iit comes out here tomorrow as well, but I'll be watching it on Tuesday.

Hey guys I just got back from seeing it and its a goddamn fucking masterpiece. I seriously find it difficulty to think of a single fault.

I just saw it and HOLY SHIT that movie is awesome. In addition to that it's funny as hell and has some really well written dialogue. They managed to give all those characters enough screentime to show why they are awesome and kick-ass. Sure, there will be people who are not into it, hell there were people who didn't like "The Dark Knight" and that is totally fine but I fucking loved every single second of that movie and I am definetely going to see it a second time. At the end of the movie the audience applauded which I have never seen before.

Well, the overall story wasn't great but I don't give a single shit about the overall story in "Avengers".

This is exactly what I'm afraid of about this flick. What I don't care about is these people jumping around doing "cool" things. I've read comics for a long time, and even though they were just images on the page, I've seen all that before. If there's not a good story to tell, I feel like the movie just becomes pointless.

The movie doesn't aim for a deep and intelligent story though. It doesn't pretend to and is completely selfaware. It aims for a certain style and nails that style perfectly. If you just want a good story and don't care that much for the action and the humor then don't see this movie or you are gonna be disappointed. The overall story is just: "Hey, look over here, aliens and some evil guy with british accent". But it has some really funny and intelligent dialogue, crazy action scenes and cool characters@Watcherg44 said:

I don't know the source material enough to know that. It is never really explained.

I went to see this yesterday and absolutely loved it. The Story is really straightforward and there are no big twists or anything but there is some fantastic action and great humour (The entire room was literally laughing out loud at spots).
