Found this picture of Tom Hardy in full Bane costume on set

What do you guys think? I kind of like it. Its believable to me. And for the haters, WHY do you hate it?

Looks like they are taking a military approach to the character. It's looking more and more certain that he is going to be some sort of merc.

The mask looks weird. It either needs to be full or not at all there. But this is coming from the standpoint of someone looking for pure aesthetics. I've never seen Bane outside of Batman Arkham Asylum.

He normally looks like a luchadoor. I guess you could say making him look like something out of Metal Gear Solid is an upgrade, but I'd call it a lateral move on account of how retarded popped collars are.

Looks like another raped Batman villain.

'Believable'? Fucking hell. He looks like someone from my local metal club.

Looks pretty silly. Then again, I can't think of any possible version of Bane that wouldn't be silly.

Hopefully it'll look better in the movie. I dug how Joker and Scarecrow looked in the previous films, though I imagine it's easier to adapt those two than a giant, drug-addicted luchador.

I like it.  It is very Nolan-style.  A more realistic size, kind of mercenary look over the big brute wrestler look.  I can only assume Nolan knows the character and plans to portray him as a very intelligent foe as well as strong just like in the comics without a lot of the cliches of big muscle bound hulks.

I think he looks like an off-brand horror villain, but I can see the merc aesthetic. Still, this is all before all the lighting and extra cg, so I'll wait till the movie comes out and judge accordingly.

The costume looks rather pedestrian, but I'll save my ultimate judgement until I've actually seen the film; behind-the-scenes material always looks worse than it actually is in the film.

I don't get it.

They'll probably explain it, but the mask seems totally unnecessary to this character in the Nolan-verse.

I actually like the design of the breathing apparatus itself, but the way it just hangs there makes it look slightly ridiculous. Really wish they had gone for the full-face mask, but I guess they just HAD to show the stars face.

Only a fool would not trust Nolan's judgement at this point. But a part of me does wish that he and Goyer had announced that they had created their own villain for the film.

That would have been mind-blowing.

Whatever it looks like now, I'm sure when you see it on screen it will look great.

Looks fine to me. Seems  appropriate for Bane.

Don't expect a leather/Latex costume from Catwoman. Just saying.
