Dolph Lundgren was a revelation in the Expendables

Dolph Lundgren's performance as Gunner Jensen was, by far, my highlight of the Expendables. The man is a tycoon. A sweltering mass of volcanic muscle. His little sneer. His slurred, oddly enounciated English. How can such a talented actor be relegated to relative obscurity for so long? It's a motherfucking travesty.

It was a good movie, I saw it yesterday and enjoyed it, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. Just another Action Movie which totally won't go down as a contender for best action movie.

He was in a DTV movie last year called Command Performance that I really enjoyed because of him. I hope this rejuvenates his career somewhat.

I never realized, having not really seen any of his movies, that he is a fucking MOUNTAIN of a man. But yeah, he was definitely unexpectedly great in this movie as the sort of uncontrollable force of nature.

Dolph Lundgren is a fucking beast.  Always has been, always will be.  It was good to see him in Expendables.  He definitely played that role well.

With that said, I never want to see him do a role that doesn't involve a layer of sweat, a mass of muscle, and shooting the fuck out of someone.

Also, he's got one of the greatest entrances in movie history with Expendables!!!

I had never seen that video before but I've seen it at least four times now. So heartwarming! Or crotchwarming... err...

I can't think of Dolph Lundgren without thinking of a particular It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode where two of the characters place him in the lead role of their absolutely retarded film they are writing.  Comedic gold.

The man is a genius too. Masters degree in chemical engineering.

The screen before the movie told me so.

Dolph is not a man to mess with. Some "highlights" as it were. Championship weight lifter, captain of the Swedish Kyokushin karate team, he's also studied boxing, fencing and judo he was awarded a fulbright scholarship and gave it up! He speaks more than five languages, served with a Swedish marine rangers team during his mandatory service and he killed freakin' Apollo Creed!
