The movie is awful yet and the same time the greatest thing ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with Alex when Arnie walked in to the Church the energy in the room spiked so much you could feel it. The last 25 minutes will actually make you more of a man then when first walked in to see the movie.

The movie was a great throwback flick.  There were definitely problems, from the bad bad BAD CGI to the paper thin acting.  Also, what the fuck was with those goddamn Mickey Rourke improv moments?!  Besides that, though, it's just like any '80s action flick...minus the obligatory sex between Jason Statham and Charisma Carpenter that needed to happen (Lord, did it need to happen!).

Also, Expendables can now easily be known as having two of the greatest action movie moments in action movie history:  Dolph Lundgren's entrance and "the Terry Crews moment".  Man, Terry fucking wrecked it in that flick!!!  I really hope more people give him some action roles!

This movie had me smiling the whole way through and while, the Terry Crew moment was amazing, the Jet Li/Statham moment near the end and what Li did was my favorite scene in that movie. Looked and sounded so awesome.

Alex I just went to see The Expendables and I utterly agree with your review. The Expendables has got to be one of the stupidest films I have ever watched, but it was also incredibly entertaining. It was brilliant and it was awful. I am still smiling now.

Saw this over the weekend, I think I may have to watch it again because I really didn't think it was all that. Although, I couldn't help but have flashes of a rated  R G.I. JOE black ops movie!!

Finally watched this movie last night from Netflix.  Huge train wreck of a movie.

Anyone know when the director's cut is out? Stallone was talking about it on Twitter a few months ago, and it sounded complete but then again, he said the same thing about a Rambo director's cut and that still hasn't surfaced.

Stallone's custom F-100 that he drove sounds like sex. In a good way.
