So the Following just premiered. Thoughts?

Well the much hyped The Following just finished up airing on the west coast. Initial reaction from me is meh, I'm not moved negatively or positively. For all the talk going in about it being different perhaps offering a bit of nuance to the Red Dragon-esque set up. At least with a guy like Kevin Williamson around you know all the genre beats are going to be hit, and they are. Only problem is the whole episode culminated in the villain just regurgitating the game and not really playing off it. Still 15 episodes isn't that much of a commitment to make and I do enjoy seeing Kevin Bacon on TV.
