The increasing size of Peter Jackson's gut is what gives me the most hope for this film. It's a fact that fat Peter Jackson=better movies.
When I grow old and retire, I'm going to live in the Shire.

You may be right.
I just hope he doesn't get as fat as he did circa RETURN OF THE KING. I don't think he could live long being that size at his age.

I agree with you, ever since he was beginning to get thinner I felt like the world was becoming a sadder place. Fat Peter Jackson gives me hope for humanity's future.
The song that starts at 1:40 is TOTALLY a slightly altered version of Ping Island Rescue
Also, it was interesting to hear what a New Zealand accent sounds like when mixed with a gay lisp.
I will like this movie damnit!
@Naxwell: I totally noticed this as well! Really worked for the documentary to mocumentary =D
The scale is just...it's a bit obscene really, just for some entertainment.
Still, I'll love it.
Damn, the logistics of everything are bind-blowing.
This is crazy, I can't even begin to imagine how much all of this costs.
And just imagine how many obstacles Peter Jackson and the rest of the crew had to get past to make the original Lord of the Rings trilogy. Simply amazing.
These videos make me feel all warm inside.
Holy shit, Elijah Woods is 30. I feel old now.

This is the only I reason I watched the Hobbit video. I love Life Aquatic!
God, I couldn't be any more excited for this film.
I watch stuff like this, seeing the insane amount of planning and work that is put into filming these movies (not even counting effects, editing, etc), and I don't mind paying $10 for a movie ticket.

Yeah, This, plus four years. But damn if he's not great in Wilfred.
This reminds me why I absolutely adore the LotR movies and the extras - can't wait to see this. Has it really been 10 years? God.
Going to the cinema with my siblings to watch the Lord of the Rings movies was such a great Christmas tradition for the three years it lasted.
yes skinny peter jackson was a repitilian imposter! i think he escaped captivity to film the hobbit.
I know it may be totally corny to talk about "movie magic", but when I see the insane craftsmanship, logistical barriers, and sheer dedication going into something like this, it's hard to not feel overwhelmed in kind of an awesome way.
I can't wait :)
I wish there was a button for me to rate this move an 11.
