The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Forum

Francis Lawrence--director of I Am Legend, Water for Elephants, and Constantine--has been offered the role of director for Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games. It is believed that if he turns the role down, Capote and Moneyball director Bennett Miller will be offered the role. Francis Lawrence is no relation to the series's star, Jennifer Lawrence.

His track record is not exactly impressive. Bennett Miller would be a better choice, obviously.

Fingers crossed for a Bennett Miller directed Catching Fire movie. Although, I think we're still in safe hands since Suzanne Collins, the book's author, and the writers from the first movie are still on board for the second movie.
