Oh yeah, and Lenny Kravitz as Cinna is also brought up by the racists. Apparently there isn't a description for his skin color, though but I haven't read the books so can't guess.

The only problem I have with Lenny is that he seems too old for the part. Cinna was an up-and-comer, and from the description seemed pretty young, at least closer to Katniss' age.

Katniss mentions more than once that Rue and Thresh are "dark skinned", this is really dumb and those people writing those things on the internet should...uh...have a stern talking to, or something. It's post-apocalyptic, it's not like she's gonna spell it out and say "[character] was African-American", or something. Ugh. Dumb.

As for Lenny Kravitz, I can't remember any of what Cinna's features were supposed to be. He was supposed to be young. That's all I remember.

Even if she wrote that they were white, what does it matter? Many black, asian, and hispanic roles have been turned into white people so what does it matter if the reverse happens?

Yeah, it's kinda like the whole Donald for Spiderman stuff. While I get there are other reasons Sony didn't go for Donald Glover, the backlash from some fans was just ridiculous over something really meaningless. It's not like these are characters characterized by their race.

Man why can't people understand its about the acting and the portrayal not how someone looks.

I was literally just about to say the same exact thing.

Super fans always scare me. It's one thing to be passionate about the source material, it's a whole other thing to be racist because the film didn't fit what your imagination created.

Not sure if to laugh or cry.
