Sheldon Kornpett is a wealthy dentist who works out of Manhattan. His daughter is to be married to the son of Vince Ricardo, a man whose "business" takes him all over the world and involves armored car robberies. After Vince regales the Kornpetts with tales of South American tsetse flies large enough to carry off small children, Sheldon is convinced that the man is insane and asks his daughter to call of the wedding. She convinces her dad to give him another chance, and the next day Vince shows up in Sheldon's office under the pretense of getting to know his future in-law better, and to ask Shel to help him break into his own safe. Unfortunately for Sheldon, after he gets a black bag out of the safe he's accosted by two armed men, and, after a shootout, Vince explains that he's actually a CIA agent. From then on Vince drags Sheldon through one bizarre experience after another, with Sheldon, and the viewer, never really sure whether or not Vince is an agent, and, even if he is one, whether or not the man's out of his mind.
