If you are one of those people, what did you think of the ending? I mean holy shit, that was dark, but insanely clever. That's what happens when you take practical jokes too far, and when you lie, kids. People die and someone is going to nuke someone else. Though, I would've liked to have seen more of Jon Hamm as Jon Hamm. It's that kind of irreverent humor, paired by painful, uncomfortable, but deliciously and gleefully executed irony stemming from David Cross' perfect idiocy as Todd Margaret, that makes this show one of the best out there.

The tone they take on for the last moments is absolutely bonkers, fitting, of course, but also takes on a self-aware and 4th wall exploding approach. That last scene with Spike Jonze's character, I forgot his name, reading off things about the plot of the show itself is literally him reading off plot holes in the show's plot. He then calls for David- David Cross. That's... I think that's pretty great. And if you notice, with the last shot of Todd pushing the button, he's wearing glasses. David Cross confirmed that it is literally David Cross pushing the button, killing the show before it gets more convoluted and insane. Brilliant.

So, if you saw the entire series, what did you think? How about this... Absurdly dark and self-aware ending? I thought it was sheer genius from everyone involved. It was a great show that I hope gains some sort of cult following in the future, because it's just that strong as a comedy and story to garner such love.
