SHORT REVIEW (and my first ever movie review, go easy on me)
I may be a little late with this one, but after watching Iron Man 2, this recent adaptation of the the most famous green superhero caught my eye. We have all seen the Ang Lee movie
Hulk and we all know it sucks big green penis. The thing that makes this reboot much better than Ang Lee's
Hulk is the acting and the action. Here are some bullet points for you:
- Edward Norton makes a great Bruce Banner.
- The movie is at it's best in the first 20 minutes. Bruce Banner is on the run from the US government and at the same time, he is trying to cure himself. You start to feel for the guy and you start hope that he finds a cure. The story is really what makes it better then your Spider-Man 3's out there.
- Liv Tyler's character is fucking boring. I did not have any emotional connection to her what so ever. I know that she's Bruce Banner's love interest and she is the only one who can tame the Hulk, but Liv Tyler is such a stiff actress that she sucks all the life you of this role.
- Lou Ferrigno voices the Hulk. It's worth seeing it just for that.
- Tim Roth makes a great soldier. A great guy to have on your zombie team
(especially when he becomes the Abomination)
. - The action scenes are meh. Some of them are okay, but seeing two CGI monsters fighting each other just takes me out of it.
The Tony Stark appearance is kinda cool but it only just makes me want to re-watch Iron Man 1 again.
In conclusion,
The Incredible Hulk is a better than average movie superhero movie that rides on some decent acting and some decent action. Thank you for reading my first movie review and I will try to do better next time.
