Five criminals, led by the charming Professor Marcus, plan a daring daylight robbery whilst posing as classical musicians for octogenarian Mrs. Wilberforce, Marcus' landlady. The heist is pulled off without a hitch, but Mrs. Wilberforce soon deduces the quintet's involvement and the gang find themselves forced to "do 'er' in".

William Rose claimed to have dreamt the whole film from beginning to end.
