The Lying Game Episodes

Emma Becker is stuck in a dead-end foster home, communicating with her long lost twin sister Sutton via the internet. But when Emma goes on the run, Sutton gives her the option to switch places with her while she finds their birth parents. Emma must blend into Sutton's glamorous lifestyle for 2 days until she returns; although it's not as easy as it sounds when Sutton hides dark secrets.

With still no sign of Sutton, Ethan insists Emma still takes on her role until they hear from her, which she reluctantly accepts. Emma discovers more of Sutton's secrets, especially when 'lying games' becomes a recurring theme. What makes things worse is the upcoming father/daughter dance; meaning Emma will have to work harder to protect her identity.

Sutton teams up with Thayer to find answers, which lead them on a twisting journey around town. Emma accidentally reveals that Ethan is her secret boyfriend to her parents, who insist on meeting him. Char see's a guy she likes, the only problem is, Laurel likes him too and Madeline's life becomes complicated when she has to fend off her father and sparks a new relationship.

A shared recurring nightmare between Sutton and Emma leads to more clues about their birth mother. Laurel goes on a date with Justin, which leads to backlash from Char. Ethan is facing the aftermath of the stolen laptop, and all the evidence suspiciously points to him, with Emma reluctant to believe it and Mads takes her 'crush' with Mr Diaz one step further.

It's Homecoming and Emma does not want to run for Homecoming Queen until Char and Mads pressure her into doing it. Sutton, still in L.A. struggles to find her mother when the name 'Annie Hobbs' leads to a varied list of possibilities. Nisha stirs up trouble with Mads when she intentionally reveals to Mr Rybak about the supposed 'affair' with Mr Diaz. Sutton becomes increasingly jealous, believing Emma is slowly stealing her life and turns to Thayer for support.

The twins' romances turn sour when Ethan decides to break up with Sutton to be with Emma and Emma discovers her sister is sleeping with Thayer. Laurel becomes suspicious of Justin when he begins lying to her and is surprised to find out the truth. Char feels an attraction to Derek, who is acting on ulterior motives and Mads is worried when Eduardo suddenly leaves town after a conversation with her father.

With Eduardo in critical condition at the hospital, he has a message for Emma that he's desperate to tell her. Thayer arrives in town which sparks jealousy between him and Ethan and also causes tension between the girls, especially Mads. Sutton is taken by the mental institution and uses this opportunity to impersonate Emma and speak to their birth mother while Laurel decides to take the next step in her relationship with Justin.

Emma finds herself in a sticky situation when she is blackmailed by Travis, who threatens to reveal her secret in exchange for money. Laurel becomes concerned when Justin is secretive about one of his possessions. Kristin and Ted spend a romantic weekend away, which raises more questions about Annie and Sutton, now in jail in Las Vegas is desperate to get her life back and will do whatever it takes.

Emma is even more suspicious than ever after over-hearing an argument between Ted and Kristin and decides to confront Alec over his secrets. Sutton, still in Las Vegas, impersonates Emma until she has enough money to buy a ticket home and enlists the help of Emma's best friend Lexi to do so. It may be time for Emma to leave Phoenix for good, before her world comes crashing down.

With Sutton fast approaching Phoenix, Emma has very little time to come clean and flee town, but with Ethan urging her to fight for her life, will she do it? Sutton is angered by Emma settling so comfortably and sets out on a devious plan of revenge to take back what's hers and punish Emma and what better way to do that at their Birthday party.

With Sutton mysteriously gone, Emma is puzzled as to where she could be. But when her car is found empty in the lake, Thayer points the murderous motive to Ethan. An ghost from the past returns to haunt Ted and Alec, and plans to stay.

The anonymous threatening note sends Emma worried, but could it be just another lying game from Sutton? Ethan, Thayer and Emma try and find out why Alec has his hooks into the town's adults while Laurel is heartbroken when Justin dumps her unexpectedly and Charlotte is forced to live with her father.

The truth about Sutton's car accident is revealed and it has surprising links to their birth mother. Rebecca becomes close friends with Kristin, much to the wary of Ted and Alec while a former flame from Mads past returns. Laurel finally finds out the truth about Justin.

With Sutton taking back her life, Emma is forced into hiding until they figure out who is trying to kill them. Meanwhile, Sutton hatches a plan to get Ethan back. Alec and Rebecca begin dating while Ted comes face to face with Justin. The twins finally get some answers from the mysterious Annie, but it seems to give them more questions.

Ethan and Sutton manage to find the man who tried to kill her, but when they confront him, the situation spirals out of control; giving Ethan an ultimatum. Meanwhile, Laurel begins to secretly date Justin while Alec and Rebecca get serious.

Sutton and Ethan hide out at his father's house, but the welcome isn't very warm, especially when old grudges reappear. Emma attempts damage control on Sutton's life, but when it all spirals out of control, she tells a secret. Justin becomes wary when Laurel starts spending a lot of time with Baz.

With Mads now aware of the whole situation, she helps them in finding out who killed Derek, but she doesn't like what she finds. At the farm, Ethan and Sutton get closer, while Laurel makes a tough decision concerning Justin. Kristin confronts Ted over his lies.

Ethan, now captured and in jail, is facing trial which will soon see him sent down for murder, but Emma won't let that happen. Laurel gets exciting news about her band. Rebecca uses her new relationship to manipulate Alec while Sutton's latest 'lying game' vows to tear Emma and Ethan apart.

Emma finds out what Sutton did and confronts her, but when they have suspicions about Rebecca, Thayer helps them figure out why she really came back to Phoenix. Laurel and Baz prepare for their first big gig, but a broken care threatens to crush their dream. Alec and Rebecca have surprising news.
