Considered one of the greatest silent films of it's era, The Mark of Zorro is the first adaptation of the legendary character.

Trivia:

In the original origin story for Batman, Bruce Wayne became a masked vigilante because as he and his parents were coming out of seeing The Mark of Zorro they were gunned down a criminal.

Quote: Lolita Pulido

Why do wear a mask?

Zorro

Perhaps to hide the features of a De Bergerac.
